I am married to a Pastor of Student Ministries and am the mom to two boys, ages 14 and 11. I live with my family in southeast Wisconsin (despite my dislike for cold weather!). My day job is working as the Supervisor of the Contract Administration department at my company, so I spend many hours on conference calls and running reports, but my true passion is writing.

I have published Christian Romance novels Blast From Her Past and A Heart Held Captive, as well as Christian Romance novellas Christmas in Meadow Creek, First Class Christmas, and Wrong Turn Christmas. For more on these books, see the “Publications” page.

When I’m not working or writing, I can be found taking walks or bike rides with my kids, baking goodies, dining out, playing the piano, or spending time with my family.

Get to know Katy:

Q: What is your favorite breakfast cereal?

A: I love cereal! I don’t like ones with “real fruit” in them, but almost anything else goes. My faves are Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Life, and Honey Bunches of Oats.

Q: What is your favorite time of year?

A: Strictly from a weather standpoint, I like summer best, followed by the just-turning-cool early fall. But weather aside, I love the feel of the holiday season — from Thanksgiving through Christmas, things just seem so festive and joyful.

Q: What is a random fact about you that people might not know?

A: I once threw out the first pitch at a Milwaukee Brewers game. The school district I went to put honor roll students’ names in a pool for this purpose, and mine just happened to be chosen.

Q: What one moment in your life would you return to if you could?

A: Probably any time when my Dad was alive and not sick. He died in 2004, so being able to see him again would be surreal and wonderful. I would also love to re-live my first date with my husband 🙂
